Brimacombe Prize

The Brimacombe Prize recognizes outstanding achievements in materials process engineering and is presented in memory of J. Keith Brimacombe, an innovative giant in the field of materials process engineering during the later quarter of the 20th century.

This Prize consists of $20,000 CDN and, as a permanent record, each Prize recipient is awarded a sculpture depicting Athena, the Greek goddess of reason, intelligent activity, arts and literature. She was the embodiment of wisdom, reason, and purity. She is noted to have only fought for just reasons, and would not fight without a purpose.
